The spring-loaded Raptor Overhead Ground Clamp from Meta Design & Manufacturing replaces the clumsy duckbill clamps with superior ease and functionality. Working in tandem with your hot stick ratchet the Raptor opens and secures wires from 1/8th to 1” with only 1-2 rotations, significantly expediting installation and reducing repetitive strain by a magnitude of 10X! Unlike competitors attempts at spring loaded clamps, the Raptor is unique in that it can continue to torque beyond 40 ft-lbs even as the wire compresses.

Product Description

Raptor Overhead Ground Clamp

To sustain the explosive mechanical force present in a ground fault, Meta Design and Manufacturing uses a 6061 T6 Machined Billet Aluminum body that is vastly superior to standard aluminum castings for protecting your crew.

Billet 6061 T6 has a 37% better tensile strength (290 MPa vs 180 MPa) and 100% better yield strength (240 MPa vs 100MPa) than standard cast aluminum. The elongation at break of 6061 T6 is twice that of standard cast aluminum (20% vs 10%).
