Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator

About the Role:
Tallman is a trusted name in the electric utility industry, and we market to both B2B and B2C customers. We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator and Content Creator who can strategically represent Tallman to both markets. In this role, you’ll develop social media content that captures the pride and dedication of what it is to be a lineman, as well as tailored content that resonates with utility purchasers and key decision makers.
Success in this role hinges on your ability to blend critical thinking with creative storytelling.
What You’ll Do:
- Craft Content That Connects – Create social media content, including photo, video, and written content that resonates with linemen, utility workers, and our broader audience.
- Maintain a Consistent and Authentic Brand Voice – Write copy and create visuals that feels authentic, relatable, and aligned with our customers’ values and daily work.
- Build Community – Actively engage with our followers, respond to comments and messages, and cultivate meaningful relationships with our online audience.
- Tell Stories – Utilize relationship and social trust to gather lineman and customer stories that invoke authenticity and promote user generated content across our social platforms.
- Track and Analyze Performance – Study and use insights and analytics to build and adjust social strategies, guide decisions and grow our social presence and engagement.
- Collaborate Across Teams –Collaborate with the Marketing, Sales and Product teams to spotlight tools and services, customer stories, and seasonal promotions.
- Stay Current – Keep up with social media trends, industry news, and best practices to keep our content fresh, relevant and engaging.
- Learn and Grow – Be open to learning about SEO, social optimization, and data-driven content marketing techniques.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A natural storyteller and communicator, with strong writing and content development skills, as well as creative and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Strategic ability to balance creativity with data insights and content performance.
- Ability to repurpose content across different platforms in various content mediums.
- Proficient in Canva and/or the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiar with basic video editing and video software such as Edits (an Instagram app), TikTok, and Adobe Rush. Advanced video editing/software knowledge is preferred, but not required.
- Tailor content for specific audiences across various social platforms including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
- Familiar with content scheduling tools such as Meta Business Suite, Later, or Hootsuite.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-directed.
- At least 1 year of experience in Social Media Marketing (2+ years preferred), especially in niche B2C or B2B industries.
