Having used this and the SS “Surfboard,” I would call this the superior tool. Consistently pulling off small, straight strips ends up being cleaner and faster than trying to cleanly unwrap a spiral. If you are using a heat gun, it’s also faster and easier to apply heat to straight strips than a spiral. I still prefer the SS 1700 for scoring outer jacket, but the banana peeler is definitely superior for semiconductor.
