Cold. Crisp. Built for hot days and long hours.
The kind of drink that makes summer feel temporarily negotiable.
Why “The Lineman’s Julep”?
Named for the crews who work through the heat, storms, and impossible conditions to keep communities connected.
The Lineman’s Julep keeps the cooling refreshment of the original but rebuilds it with Tallman 75th Reserve Bourbon and a subtle peach note inspired by Southern summer orchards.
Refreshing enough for the heat.
Strong enough for bourbon drinkers.
Method:
- Add mint leaves, raw sugar, and peach syrup to a julep cup or rocks glass.
- Gently muddle just enough to release the mint oils.
Don’t pulverize the mint into green lawn clippings. - Add bourbon and fill halfway with crushed ice.
- Stir briefly until the cup frosts.
- Add more crushed ice, mounding slightly above the rim.
- Garnish with mint bouquet and peach slice.
Hold the cup near the base so the frost forms naturally.
Tallman Tip:
Slap the mint garnish gently before serving.
That releases the aroma immediately and makes the first sip dramatically better.
Also: crushed ice matters, Large cubes turn a julep into bourbon with optimism sprinkled on top.
